Insulfab is proud of its reputation for manufacturing high quality, engineered barrier laminates using a combination of textiles and films in various marine and aerospace applications. Our products meet or exceed FAR 25.856 quality requirements.
For over 60 years Chase has been making a material difference with our specialized product offering. The Facile® Insulfab® cover films are highly flame retardant, ultra-light weight barrier films. These highly specified structures provide thermal and acoustic protection of insulation used in aircraft and marine vessels, and also contribute to improved flame-resistance and vapor-barrier properties.
By way of example, our Insulfab® 332, which was purposely built as a vapor barrier, must also serve as mechanical protection and meet new FAA mandated flame resistance while in use. A new flame retardant system was developed that met global environmental standards and enabled the product to become the benchmark cover film of the thermal acoustic insulation industry.
The Insulfab line of engineered textiles is designed to meet stringent performance parameters. Our expertise in coatings, laminating and material science has created efficient solutions in diverse areas such as airframe insulation, maritime barriers and wall flashing.
Our products, which are manufactured in multiple standardized lengths and widths, can also be customized to meet exacting customer specifications. We are familiar with a wide variety of flexible polymer films from the mundane to the exotic and can laminate webs up to 72" wide (1.8 meters) producing rolls up to 3,000 pounds in weight or more. We can also slit to widths as narrow as 0.5 inches. In the course of working on the solutions detailed opposite, we have partnered with some of the world's preeminent suppliers of exotic materials.

Applications
Our Insulfab range offers high strength to weight barrier films that are textile reinforced. These laminates are designed to provide solutions in a variety of end uses:
Aerospace - Insulfab thermal acoustic cover materials provide a flame retardant mechanical protection with a high resistance to water vapor transmission maintaining the performance of the fiberglass insulation while meeting stringent FAA and airframe manufacturers requirements.
Military - Insulfab laminates are used on naval shipping to protect radar absorbent materials at sea from degradation without compromising performance.
Transportation - Insulfab laminates are used in light rail to protect acoustic barrier materials without compromising weight to enhance efficiency and extend useful life.
Construction - Insulfab through wall flashing was developed to allow flashing to be wet laid reducing the cost of construction while meeting stringent quality requirements.
Emergency - Insulfab laminates were designed to provide fireproof blankets that would save a life in a deadly flash over.
